I am a hands on learner. The best way for me to develop a skill is to roll up my sleeves and create something from scratch. The Doodles below are websites and other projects that I created either as a way of learning a new technology or just for fun. I am currently working on summarizing a few of my more recent endeavors. I am redesigning the GISMO website with blog features. Currently we post program notes from past
presentations and upcoming events. These could be treated as categories on a blog and a news scan
feature would make the site much more dynamic and useful.

This blog was created as part of a Movable Type blogging class. It is intended to be a
jump-started version of ...beansproutings, an earlier Blogger-based site.

I set up this award-winning site as a way to practice javascript. It was very fun to do, and so far has garnered a lot

Pia's Thai Catering (1996)

I created a website for Pia Chantarasmi's Thai Catering business, including sample menus. The catering service is no longer available, but the food was heavenly. In fact,
Pia's sister, Nisa, has started Thai At Home, a catering service serving the New York City region. I didn't
work with Nisa on her site, but her food so good, a link is more than appropriate!
